Hurricane Katrina 2

DeathScape

New Member
On August 31, 2005 a hurricane hit New Orleans. Five friends were separated from each other. They eventually found each other, as well as another friend. There were five boys and one girl. The city went mad. People killed people, more than ever. The six friends stood together and fought off whoever came in their way. Unfortunately two of the kids died. The 4 remaining teenagers (Thirteen year olds) went back to their enemy’s house, but they killed the guy who lived in there.

Josh woke up to find no one else in the room. He got out of bed and went downstairs. He saw them eating.
“This is the fourth day,” said Josh.
“Yeah, but I’m sure we’ll get out of here,” said Jason.
“Wanna do something fun?” said Josh. “Like we used to.”
“Dude, it’s been four days, not four years!” said Nick. “We still know what fun is.”
“Wanna play catch?” said Josh.
“I would, but the whole outside is flooded,” said Nick.
“Josh, want me to make you anything?” said Jane who was flipping pancakes.
“No thanks, I’ll just eat like cereal,” said Josh.
The door creaked. And then the kids heard banging sounds.
“Go upstairs!” Josh whispered.
The four kids went upstairs and jumped out of the window onto the roof, then they jumped from their roof the neighbor’s roof. They went inside the other house from their window.
“Does everyone have their gun?” said Josh.
“I never don’t,” said Jason.
“Okay, when they come near the window, shoot,” said Josh.
A couple of seconds later they saw the three men, and Josh shot a bullet from his gun, it hit one the guys in the chest, and one of the men died. The two remaining men started shooting back at them. The kids fired back.
“Let’s go downstairs,” said Josh.
“Good idea,” said Jason.
The four kids went downstairs and waited for the men to come.
A couple of seconds later the door was pushed open revealing the two men who were trying to kill them. Josh pointed his gun at one of the men’s head. Josh’s eyebrow raised as he found something out.
“Dad?” said Josh.
“Jo-Josh!?” said Josh’s Dad.
“What are you doing?” said Josh.
“Well I gotta take stuff from people to live,” said Josh’s Dad nervously.
“You mean steal?” said Josh.
“Ye- Yes…” said Josh’s Dad.
“I’m going to let you go, but just don’t do it anymore,” said Josh.
“Josh, you’re my son, you have to come with me. You still live with me, in the midst of all of this,” said Josh’s Dad.
“I don’t want to,” said Josh.
“Josh, you can’t take of yourself,” said Josh’s Dad.
“Of course I can’t, they can,” said Josh pointed to Jane, Nick, and Jason.
“Come!” said Josh’s Dad.
“Even if you were good, I wouldn’t want to leave my friends, were in it together ‘til the end,” said Josh.
“That’s it!” said Josh’s Dad as he pulled out his gun. Josh’s Dad now pointed his gun at Josh, “Josh, come.”
“Dad, I don’t wanna go around stealing, I’m living in this house,” said Josh.
“But you’ll eventually run out of food,” said Josh’s Dad.
“We’ll find out a way when it comes time to,” said Josh.
“Josh, I’ll shoot and kill all of your friends if you don’t come with me, and if try to take out a gun I’ll shoot you,” said Josh’s Dad.
“One…” said Josh’s Dad.
Everyone got nervous, no one had said a word besides Josh and his Dad.

“Two…” said Josh’s Dad. “Two and a half.”
Josh had to do something before it was too late.
“Three!” said Josh’s Dad.
There was a loud boom, and they looked around to see someone dead, but it wasn’t Josh, it wasn’t Jane, it wasn’t Jason, and it wasn’t Nick. It was Josh’s Dad, the other man had shot him.
“Thank you,” said Josh, although Josh was kind of sad, but not really since he though he was dead from the hurricane anyways, so most of the sadness was already cried out of him.
“Your welcome,” said the man.
“What’s your name?” said Josh.
“It’s Peter,” said the man named Peter.
“I’m Josh,” said Josh.
“Did I ask for your name?” said the man.
“Well no, but-“ said Josh.
“I’m kidding!” said Peter. “Anyways I’m off to rob some more innocent houses.”
“Are you serious?” said Josh.
“Listen, you could kill me while I’m walking away, but I could’ve let you die, but I don’t like seeing children die,” said Peter.
“Fine, you can go, we won’t shoot,” said Josh.
“Good bye!” said the man as he walked away.
Josh turned and looked at his friends.
“Sorry Josh,” said Jason.
“I just can’t believe it,” said Josh.
“Well it’s like Lord of the Flies,” said Nick.
“Thanks, that makes me feel so much better,” said Josh sarcastically.
“No problem,” said Nick.
“Now, we’re we gonna play catch?” said Josh.
“Let’s play Volleyball,” said Jane.
“That’s a girl sport!” said Nick.
“Come on, you’ll like it,” said Jane.
“Yeah, as much as you guys kissing?” said Nick.
Jane blushed.
“Zip it!” said Josh.
“Sorry,” said Nick.
“Jane, is there volley ball here?” said Josh.
“No, but we got balls!” said Nick.
“Nick!” said Josh.
“Yeah, I’ll get one,” said Jane ignoring Nick.
Jane ran in the house and came out ten seconds later with a volley ball.
“I got one!” said Jane.
So the four kids played volleyball for a while. They all learned that it was more fun that they thought. Nick even admitted that it was good. They played for a little more for an hour, until a three soldiers came into their picture. They stopped playing and looked at them.
“Hello,” said Josh.
“Hi, how are you kids?” said one of the soldiers.
“Well are homes just got destroyed, are parents are died, we have barely any food, water or fun, how do you think we feel?” said Nick.
“There’s a plane near here,” said one of the soldiers. “Let’s go now!
“Not now,” said Nick.
“We gotta go now!” said the soldier.
“What are you so anxious about?” said Jane.
“There’s gonna be a storm!” said the soldier.
“A storm?” said Josh.
“Are you retarded? He just said a storm!” said one of the other soldiers.
“Andy, please, we shouldn’t be teacher the kids that!” said the other soldier.
“What are the other two guy’s names?” said Josh.
“I’m Alex, he’s Zack,” said the soldier pointing to the solider named Zack.” “And that’s Andy, as you already know,” said the soldier pointing at the solider named Andy.
There was a loud noise. Everyone looked up to see the clouds dropping water, and electricity.
“Get in the basement!” said Alex. “There’s gonna be a tornado!”
“Gonna isn’t a word!” said Andy.
A bolt of thunder hit a tree, and the seven people went inside the house, and down into the basement. The power went out after only a couple of seconds. Something bit Andy, and he screamed.
“Gosh!” said Alex. “You scared me.”
“Something bit me!” said Andy.
Jane felt around.
“It’s just a dog,” said Jane.
“Take this you bitch!” said Andy pointing the gun at the dog.
“No!” shouted Alex as he lowered Andy’s hand.
“We gotta get out of here,” said Zack.
“Wait ‘til the storm’s over,” said Jason after not talking for a very long time.
“Yeah,” said Josh.
So the seven of them waited for hours ‘til the storm was finally over, of course they did try to entertain themselves, but it was too hard since there was no power in the basement. But after several hours the storm was over, but the power was still out. The seven people walked outside to find everything destroyed.
“Damn the laws of physics!” said Andy.
“What does that have to do with this?” said Zack.
“I don’t know,” said Andy.
“Well the helicopter’s probably destroyed by now, so we better look for a better town so we can eat,” said Alex.
“Precisely!” said Jason.
So Jason, Josh, Jane, Nick, Andy, Alex, and Zack walked for a while. It wasn’t long ‘til they found a zoo, but they didn’t know it was a zoo. The cages were open, there were no animals inside the cages.
“Where the **** are we?” said Andy.
“Please do not use language like that with children around!” said Alex.
“I don’t know where we are,” said Zack.
Josh though he heard a noise so he turned around to see a full grown tiger looking at him with dead red eyes.
“Guys…” said Josh pointing at the tiger.
“We are screwed,” said Andy.

They all ran, but Andy was bit in the anus by the tiger.
“The tiger bit my ass! The tiger bit my ass!” cried Andy.
The tiger eventually killed him.
“Andy’s dead!” shouted Nick.
The six remaining people were running out of breath, and the tiger was gaining on them. It was headed for Alex next. Alex saw it so he ran faster. He decided to climb on one of the cages, but the tiger jumped and bit his leg. Alex fell down from the pain, and the tiger ate and killed him. With Zack having the most equipment on he couldn’t run very fast, so he decided to go inside the cage with dolphins in it. The tiger went in the same cage as Zack. Zack was scared to jump in because of how cold it would be, but since I tiger was about to kill him, he jumped in anyways. The tiger decided not to go after Zack, and Josh wondered if he would come back for them.
“Guys, I got an idea,” said Josh still running.
“We don’t hear that very often,” said Nick still running.
“Go in one of the cages!” said Josh.
“Of course!” said Jason. “It was so obvious too!”
So Josh, Jason, Jane, and Nick went in a cage and shut the cage door. The tiger still waited there.
“Josh, were going to have to go back there sooner or later,” said Jane.
“Really?” said Josh knowing what to do.
Josh took his gun and shot the tiger. The tiger died.
“Now let’s go!” said Josh.
The four kids walked out of the cage and continued walking. They walked for about half an hour ‘til they came across a town. But this town was in one big fight. Josh, Jane, Jason, and Nick went against a wall so they wouldn’t get shot.
“Let’s go in this house!” whispered Josh.
The four kids bashed open the door of the house they were resting against and went inside. No one was in there. They looked every where except the basement. They finally went down to the basement to see a man in his twenties, a women in her twenties, and boy who was very young. The man pointed his gun at Josh as if he was a criminal.
“Calm down, we’re not going to hurt you,” said Josh.
The man lowered his gun.
“Why are you here?” said the man.
“We need a place to live after the hurricane hit,” said Josh.
“Too bad, this place is taken,” said the man.
“Can we please stay?” said Josh.
“If we die I suppose you could,” said the man.
“Not a good answer,” said Josh.
“Not a good question,” said the man.
“We’ll protect you if you let us,” said Jason.
“Yeah, like you guns,” said the man.
“We do, in a time like this everyone does,” said Josh.
“Can you take my son to my uncle’s house?” said the man.
“Why?” said Josh.
“He’s not safe here,” said the man. “There’s gangster fighting every where,” said the man.
“Here,” said Nick handing the six year boy a gun, “Take this, it will save your life one day.”
“He cannot have a gun!” shouted the man! “He’s six years old for crying out loud!”
“Sure he can!” said Nick
The boy shot the gun by accident and hit a vase from a very special country.
“That was from China!” the man cried.
“Sorry,” said Nick as he took away the gun from the boy.
“We’ll take the boy,” said Jane.
“No, Jane!” said Josh. “We can’t take him!”
“Sure we can,” said Jane.
“No, he could get killed,” said Josh.
“But he needs are help,” said Jane.
“Too bad,” said Josh. “Can’t we just kill all the gangsters?”
“There are too many,” said the man.
“Can you help us?” said Jason.
“Sure,” said the man.
“Let’s go!” said Josh.
“No!” said the women who finally spoke. “I don’t know what I’d do if I lost Sam.”
“I must go,” said the man named Sam.
“I won’t try to argue,” said the women. “You’re right, go!”
So Josh, Jason, Jane, Nick, and Sam went outside.
“Okay, here’s a lesson, never make any noise,” said Jason quietly.
“But you just talked!” said Nick very loud.
“Damn it, Nick!” said Josh.
The gangsters walked over towards the house. Jason came out from the side of the house and shot two of the gangsters. One of the gangsters threw a grenade over where they were. The five of them backed away from the house as the grenade exploded.
“My house!” said Sam.
“Do you have insurance?” said Josh.
“No,” said the man.
“Then you’re screwed,” said Josh.
“Alright, concentrate,” said Jason.
One of the gangsters came in the view of the five of them, and he was shot by Jason.
“Nice job, man!” said Nick as he high fived Jason.
“I think there’s more than one,” said one of the gangsters.
“Here they come!” said Jason. “Move along side to one of the other houses, but slip pass when the other gangsters aren’t looking,” said Jason.
They all did what Jason said. The gangsters were about to go past the angle of the house where Josh, Jason, Jane, Nick, and Sam used to be. They didn’t see anyone, but the five of them were on a different angle of a different house. Jason looked over and saw two gangsters looking around, he shot both of them.
“Alright!” shouted one of the gangsters. “We give up!”
The remaining gangsters walked away from the town.

“Thank you!” said Sam. “Thanks to you highly skilled gun shooters I can live peacefully.”
“Actually we’re just thirteen year olds with guns,” said Nick.
“And Jason did most of the work,” said Josh.
“Most of the work?” said Jason. “I did all of the work! You didn’t kill any of them.”
“True…” said Nick.
“Well should we live in that house or not?” said Jane.
“Nah, let’s have a plane rescue us, and plus, that house is destroyed anyways,” said Josh.
“But can we have some food?” said Jason.
“It’d be my pleasure,” said Sam.
The four kids got some food and headed for a road that they didn’t know what it would have.
“Guys,” said Josh still walking. “Where are we going?”
“I don’t know,” said Jason. “We started out for food, but I don’t know anymore.”
“Let’s go to the next state up, there’s an orphanage there,” said Nick.
“Way too far,” said Jane. “We’ll never make it.”
“Well I don’t plan on a plane rescuing us,” said Nick.
“Nick actually has a point for once,” said Josh.
“I don’t know what we’re looking for, but we’re going to find it,” said Jason.
“Together,” Josh added.
“Yeah, no matter what,” said Nick.
“Ummm… Yeah!” said Jane.
They continued walking, hoping for a home, food, water, and fun which they haven’t had in a long time. They eventually came across another town that was in mint condition. It was perfect, it was most likely not effected by the hurricane.
“Let’s ask for some food and water here,” said Jason.
“Good idea,” said Josh.
“Good idea!?” said Nick. “I was thinking of that too.”
Josh knocked on a door. A man opened the door and said, “What do you want?”
“Well, we were effected by the hurricane and we were wondering if we could have food or water,” said Josh with a smile.
“No!” shouted the man, and slammed the door.
“Let’s try a different house,” said Josh.
“Good idea,” said Jason.
“I-“ said Nick.
“We know!” said Jason.
Josh knocked on another door. This time a man with glasses on opened the door. Josh knew he could get this geek to help them.
“Hi, we were effected by the hurri-“ said Josh.
“By the hurricane and you want food and water, don’t you?” said the man.
“Well… Yes,” said Josh.
“Too bad!” shouted the man, and he closed the door.
“Damn this town!” said Nick.
“We only tried twice,” said Josh.
“A man with glasses on turned us down!” Nick cried.
“Well, looks can be appealing,” said Josh.
“That’s looks can be deceiving, dumb shit,” said Nick.
“Same thing!” said Josh.
“Not really,” said Nick.
“Shut up!” shouted Jason. “Let’s ask someone else!”
“Right,” said Josh.
And Josh knocked on a different door for a third time. There was no answer. Josh knocked on the door again, but there was still no answer. Josh decided to knock on it one more time.
“No answer,” said Josh.
“No shit,” said Nick. “We’re standing right here.”
“Maybe they’re not home?” said Jane.
“Or maybe they died!” Josh shouted with glee.
Josh tried to open the door but it was locked.
“Damn, it’s locked,” said Josh.
“Try breaking it open,” said Jason.
“Let’s just break a window and jump in,” said Josh.
So they did what Josh said. They looked around the house and saw a pantry. Josh opened it up to find lots of snacks.
“Yay!” shouted Josh.
“Food?” said Nick.
“Yeah,” said Josh.
“Okay, what do you guys want?” said Josh.
“Ehhem!” said Jane.
“I mean what do you persons want?” said Josh.
“A banana please,” said Jane.
“Pop tart,” said Jason.
“Fritos,” said Nick.
“Alright, I’ll have an banana,” said Josh.
“A banana,” corrected Jason.
Josh got the food and handed it the kids. They sat down and talked.
“I miss our city,” said Josh.
“Me too,” said Nick.
“Yeah, it was great, now we’re just in this big gangster thing. People killing, people stealing, people raping-“ said Jason.
“Josh,” said Nick referring to the raping part.
“…and people losing their minds,” said Jason.
“Well let’s pray this ends,” said Jane.
Josh looked at the time.
“It’s 9:52, wanna go to bed?” said Josh.
“Yeah,” said Jason.
They kids went upstairs to find there were five rooms.
“I guess we all get one room,” said Josh.
“Wait,” said Jason.
“What?” said Josh.
“I forgot,” said Jason.
“That’s something Nick would say,” said Josh.
“Hey!” Nick said.
“Oh yeah, remember people live here,” said Jason. “What happens when they see us lieing in their beds?”
“Oh yeah…” said Josh. “Well, I dunno, they’ll probably get really pissed, but that’s okay,” said Josh.
“Let’s just all take a room,” said Jason.
They all went in one room.

The next day: Josh woke up from his sleep. He looked in the rooms to find everyone else was sleeping. He went downstairs and saw it was only 5:34. He decided to have some cereal. He watched television as he ate the cereal. Josh heard foot steps a couple of seconds later and was scared. It turned out it was only Nick.
“Nick?” said Josh.
“Josh?” said Nick. “What are you doing up?” said Nick.
“What are you doing up?” said Josh.
“Well… I couldn’t sleep, there was something very hard in between my cushion thing,” said Nick.
“Oh, I just woke up,” said Josh.
“What’cha watching?” said Nick.
“The news,” said Josh.
“What are they saying?” said Nick.
“They’re talking about the hurricane. It’s been five days,” said Josh.
“Oh yeah, that’s right,” said Nick.
Nick sat down.
“You know Jason is out of his bed,” said Nick.
“He is!?” said Josh.
“Yeah, but he probably went down in the basement or something to smoke crack,” said Nick.
“I’m gonna check,” said Josh.
“Okay,” said Nick.
Josh went downstairs and saw Jason lieing on the couch, he saw something red on his shirt. Josh’s heart started pumping. He touched it to find it was only ketchup. His heart started beating so hard, but he was still suspicious. He woke up Jason just in case.
“Why’d you wake me?” said Jason.
“I though you were dead,” said Josh.
“Well I’m not, so can I go back to sleep?” said Jason.
“Sure,” said Josh.
Jason drifted into his sleep only a couple of seconds later. Josh went back upstairs to find that Nick wasn’t laying on the couch anymore. He checked around the whole house and still couldn’t find him. Josh began to get nervous, so he went outside and saw from a distance Nick laying on the ground tied up with his mouth covered with tape. Josh gasped. He rushed over to Nick.
“Nick!” cried Josh. “Who did this to you?”
Nick pointed his jaw in back of Josh. Josh was scared to turn around but did. There was a man, but it was hard to make out his detailed structure.
“Did you do this?” said Josh.
“Yes,” said the man.
“Why!?” said Josh with more demand than question in his voice.
“Remember me?” said the man who turned out to not be a man, but a thirteen year old named Eric.
“Eric?” said Josh.
“Yes!” said Eric. “I did it! It was me all along!”
“Well you got a deep voice, I’ll give you that, and you did what all along?” said Josh.
“I tied up Nick!” said Eric.
“Yeah, but you said you did something all along!” said Josh.
“Never mind that!” said Eric.
“Okay, why did you tie up Nick?” said Josh.
“Josh, Josh, Josh. There are sixty kids in our grade, and all got invited to your party except me!” said Eric.
“Well you a nerd,” said Josh.
“How does that make me feel?” said Eric. “Well it doesn’t matter because you don’t care anyways!”
“You got that right,” said Josh. “But killing Nick over something like this is insane, he didn’t even do anything. I’m the one who didn’t invite you to my party.”
“True, but I want your best friends to die too,” said Eric.
“Oh, never mind!” said Josh.
Josh took out his gun and shot Eric and the chest, and Eric died. He untied Nick and ripped the tape off of his mouth.
“Damn it!” That hurt!” squealed Nick.
“Sorry,” said Josh.
“Why did you kill him!?” exclaimed Nick. “We were playing a joke on you!”
“Oh my God!” said Josh.
“Nuh, I’m kidding,” chucked Nick.
“Nick!” said Josh.
“Sorry,” said Nick. “Anyways, let’s go back to sleep.”
“Okay,” said Josh.

The next day: “Six days!” Josh said Jason, Jane, and Nick who were pretty tired.
“Yeah, we know,” yawned Jane.
There was a noise that sounded like a helicopter.
“Do you hear that?” said Josh.
“Yeah!” exclaimed Jason.
They all rushed outside to see a helicopter land. A man walked out of the helicopter.
“Are you here to save us!?” said Josh.
“No, I ran out of gas,” said the man.
“Damn it!” shouted Nick.
“Well, once you’re done putting gas in, will you take us to Arkansas or some state close to Louisiana?” said Josh.
“No, this part of Louisiana wasn’t even effected,” said the man.
“Shit!” shouted Nick.
“Please, we don’t have moms or dads,” said Josh.
“Not my problem,” said the man.
The man filled the plane with gas. He went into the helicopter and shouted, “See ya!”
“Oh yeah!” Nick said as he pulled out his gun. “How’s this for see ya?”
Nick shot at the helicopter. The man didn’t noticed and flew out of distance.
“Freeze!” shouted a voice behind them.
The kids looked around to see two gangsters with guns pointed at them.
“Put your gun down!” shouted the gangster.
Nick did as he was told.
“Now, do you have any food or water?” said the gangster.
“We don’t even live here,” said Nick.
“Yeah right!” said the gangster.
“Go behind the house,” Jason whispered to the other three kids.
The kids ran on the other side of the house, the gangster shot but missed. Suddenly a helicopter landed where they were.
“Get on!” said the man. “Hurry!”
The kids rushed on, the man went into the air even though Nick was still near the edge of the plane, but the door wasn’t closed. Nick was shot in the arm and he fell out of the plane, but grabbed the handle just in time with his left arm that wasn’t shot.
“Grab my hand!” shouted Josh.
“I can’t, my arm hurts,” said Nick.
“You gotta try,” said Josh.
“We’re flying over a city that was effected by the hurricane, so be prepared to be shot at,” said the man.
Nick eventually grabbed Josh’s arm, and Josh pulled him in. Nick closed the door.
“We made it!” said Josh.
A man jumped out from the back and stabbed Nick. Josh shot the man, and the man died.
“Nick!” shouted Josh.
“Nick! No!” exclaimed Jason.
“Where were you shot?” questioned Jane.
“Stabbed,” corrected Jason.
But Nick gave no answer, he died.
“No!” shouted Josh. “Nick and Tom!”
“At least we know Mark made it,” said Jane.
Little did they know that Mark died.
“Yeah, but we’ll never see Nick or Tom again,” said Josh.
“Well if we go to Heaven we’ll see Tom, if we got to Hell we’ll see Nick,” said Jason.
“Not helping!” said Josh.
“Sorry, I thought a joke might make the moment less sadder,” said Jason.
Jane kissed Josh.
“I bet they’re happy for us. We made it,” said Jane.
“Yeah, I guess,” said Josh.
And they waited for hours in the plane for a new home, with new parents, and new friends. But they were worried they might get separated when they were getting adopted, one might move to a place forty minutes away from their home that they would live in. But in the midst of all the terrible things that happened, they still had each other.
