I Almost Died Last Night

I was semi-unconscious throughout the event so it's all really hazy. I will gather the details of my near-death episode before posting (on this thread) what happened precisely. Stay tuned.
 
Ummm, OK.

Were you hit by a car or bus? Drug overdose? Alcohol poisoning?

I am in suspense!
 
I am genuinely curious to hear what happened. Although I do wonder why you didn't say what happened in the first post. Now I have no alternative but to come up with imaginative near death scenarios for you.

Knife fight in a bar?
 
It started around 2:00 in the morning. I had somehow got out of bed and walked to the bathroom. Our house cat senced something was odd and neared the bathroom door. It started making loud cat calls that woke up my relatives. They entered the bathroom and found me sitting up against the wall unconscious. They took my pressure and found that my pressure was extremely low. My breathing was shallow and I had a very pale complection. I started going in-and-out of consciousness and they gave me food to consume as they checked my sugar levels. The numbers were in dangerous levels. The ambulance was about to be summons before I began to show signs of recovery. Within a moment I was able to stand, so they claim, and stand on my own, I returned to bed: my blood levels and pressure began to stabilize. Within an hour (or so) I was at a point where I was recovering- the numbers were beginning to stabilize.

My next conscious awareness was waking late and feeling refreshed. When I saw our blood pressure machine on my night table, I began to ask questions and that’s when I got the news that I almost died that night.
 
Damn dude. That happened to my dad once. Scary stuff right there.

Next time don't eat all that leftover Halloween candy.
 
Now you go and get a big piece of tender liver and few prawn for that cat of yours.The lad saved your nuts,he deserves a medal.

And Polly ,all that time i wanted to take you on a date,now i know i'd better bring an helmet.
 
If you almost died,they should have taken you to the hospital to get checked anyways Aquablue,going out of consciousness once,it could be stress or something not so serious,going in and out of consciousness a few times,there is something wrong.Has it happened before?

I want to know how long it was from 2:00 am and "the ambulance was almost summoned",and sorry Aquablue but if you think it was that serious ,you should be in a hospital getting checked for high blood pressure,sugar levels and why you were in and out of consciousness.

Btw,all the meds that you are taking could be the problem to your other umm...thread.:D
 
I had the same concern Libra. But I feel fine and there are no indication (now) of the episode returning. If I feel anything remotely similar, I will call emergency myself. I think (I hope) it was a one-time thing. I was just told that it took an hour from when they found me until my sugar/pressure numbers were stable. I had to ask because I can't recall anything happening last night. Not one thing. So odd.
 
But you didn't feel it the first time,how are you going to know? what if you are alone next time?

edit: I think you should teach that tuna eating feline to dial the phone.

Aww, but I wouldn't hit you over the head with a bottle, you're French and all that.


And glad you're OK Aqua, but next time you start a thread like this maybe tell the whole story up front. Though it's fun to think of weird death scenarios I suppose.
