I'm really happy to have found this forum. I find that book forums are a great place to find like-minded readers and to find new books to read.

I want to be upfront: I am an admin for a website that is for audiobook enthusiasts. I am a new member here, so I won't post the link for now. When I do, I'm hoping some of you will check it out. I'm NOT trying to steal participants away - I AM looking for a more diverse group over there to encourage conversation. We read every type of book, not just audiobooks.

Anyway, my favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird and I adore Mark Twain.

I hope to be able to fit in here and I also hope that some of you will check out our forum community for more conversation.

Hey !! Hope you like being here :D

And btw : Can you sent me the link please ?? Ive never heard an audiobook :S

Ah, so more of a classics type fan.

Audiobooks are awesome. They allow you to do more than one thing at a time.

LOL, Sparky.

Welcome to the site. Mockingbird is one of my all-time favs, too, as it should be. Pure genius, from start to finish. I'm a fan of the macabre, too, though, so I appreciate Barker, King, Koontz, Saul, Wells, etc.

:)

we have found audiobooks to be perfect for long drives over miles of rangeland and flatland, which you get a lot of in this part of the country. no doubt about the calibur of book To Kill a Mockingbird is... it certainly deserves its status.
some of you other people will have to keep Stephen King and Dean Koonz in business, that sort of thing only keeps me awake at night. traditional well written mysteries are more my thing.

I should note that I'm actually listening to Stephen King's The Stand on download from audible. I normally prefer reading, but find audio books great for that part of my commute that involves moving from train to train across platform concourse, and for the walk to and from the station to my office.
