IMG code help

is there something wrong with the IMG function, or is it me? i have used it before but now i can't get it to work. can somene tell me what it's supposed be written like (i use the IMG icon but that's what i find isn't working).
basically, i THINK it should look like this (without the spaces)

[ IMG ]http://img77.echo.cx/my.php?image=blazingingold1xd.jpg[ /IMG ]

It is correct, but your link is not. You cant hotlink images with links of that type. Take a look at imageshacks helpfiles if its still unclear.
Try this instead:

[ img ]http://img77.echo.cx/img77/2614/blazingingold1xd.jpg[ /img ]
