Introducing Myself

Hi Everyone!

My name is Leisa Watkins. I was so glad to find this forum. I was part of another one that had little participation. It seemed most of the mosts had 700 viewers with no comments. And then the comments were usually spent bashing the previous comment. I noticed right away that this seems to be a fairly active forum with some great discussion. So it's nice to be here.

I live in Salt Lake City, UT, USA. I'm the mom of three children who are educated at home. I'm an artist who has devoted the last couple of years to teaching the paper arts and book arts. I'm also a small business owner of two businesses, so I keep very busy. Still manage to get in a couple books a week by spending 30 seconds here and a half hour there. Temporarily gone are the days of cuddling up with a book for hours and hours at a time.

Hi Leisa - glad to have another new member along with myself. I sympathasize with no spare time and not being able to curl up with a book for hours on end - but will get to do a good bit of that from now til January. I take a couple accounting night courses every semester at Furman Univ to earn the hours needed to qualify for the CPA exam and also work for a CPA firm, but am taking this semester off. My two goals are to read as many books as possible without feeling guilty for not doing classwork and replace all the flooring with laminate - the dogs are murder on carpet!

And also become a first time forum contributor...

Thanks Isabell -

Hello and welcome....Please post your favorites:D

Thanks for the welcome Isabell. I'm going to have to think about it. It's almost like asking me to choose my favorite child. I could almost go with the phrase "my favorite is the last book I read." But that wouldn't be entirely true.

Because I teach my children at home, and own my own business I end up reading mostly educational books. One of my favorite books I recently read for my personal education was: "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" by T Harv Eker.

I do intent to post some of my favorites on my profile, once I decide what they are.

Hey Leyland - Congratulations - it looks like you are well on your way to checking off the goal of contributing.
