I have been an avid reader since being a 12 year old and this morning thought I would like to try a forum.
Who knows it may introduce me to books I would not have read were it not for that?
I am already in an interests forum and love it, so this morning I typed book and reading into my search box and six different forum popped up that look good so I joined the lot!
One of them says you can't post for the first week, one says I have to wait for admin approval, one says I have to contribute financially and three look okay, this is one of them.
So, what do I do, what don't I do and hello everyone.

What I didn't understand was why was I expected to pay for being on it, when it is a free site anyway?

as the grass grows. (and judging by your state of mind it may be the 'special' grass?)
 
Welcome here, Member. Many of us here like the tolerant and liberal environment. With respect to the other forums, the safest thing to say is that each forum has its own personality and you take your choice. Hope you like it here. Jump in!

No, I don't use "special grass". I'm just nuts as you will learn as you get to know me better *LOLOLOLOL* Don't worry, I'm a benign sort of nuts, sort of like Uncle Billy in It's A Wonderful Life with a dash of Clarence thrown in for seasoning.
 
I have encoutered some resitance to my presense on this forum recently.
It would seem that I insult people by having an opinion.
Just for the record, I have no opinion of anyone on here as I do not know anyone.
I do like to express my opinion and do so most succinctly, but it is not to anger anyone else, it is to use the forum in the way it was intended.
Please take what I have put at face value, because some members are acussing me of actions I have not in fact taken.
I would also like to ask the membership to read my chain effort in the writing section and feel free to dissect it as much as you wish. I would love some constructive criticism,

I'm sorry I didn't understand. I don't follow a lot of the forums and so do not know which may be best for your purposes. I feel sure that you will find many people who are willing and able to help you. Best of luck in your writing.
