Isaac Asimov

One of my all-time favorite author is Isaac Asmov.
I love both his science and science-fiction works.
If you like science-fiction and start reading one of his books, you can't put it down.
At least I couldn't.
They are really good. Especially the Robot Series, and the Foundation Novels.

What do you guys think of his work?

I've read the Robot Series and the first book in the Foundation Series. The Robot series seemed like detective novels set in space but was just as you said, I start reading them and I have no desire to put the book down until the end. Foundation had a dry stretch or two, but the book was just as good once I got through.

What I like about the Robot series is that Asimov seems very well thought out on the relationship between man and robot, the the effect of robots on the various cultures. I also found the spacers attitude concerning earthmen very interesting.

I have the rest of the foundation series and I expect I'll finish them before long.

I bought a big ol' collection of 8-10 Asimov paperbacks from a guy on eBay. Mainly I was looking for a cheap reading copy of I, Robot and bought this box from the guy - has a bunch of the Foundation ones, etc. Looking forward to them.

Asimov was (and continues to be) one of major forces in science fiction. And beyond his novels, there was always the magazine.

A few months back, I was inspired to create a fast-moving slideshow with music, and Asimov made a key appearance in the show, along with my other favorite sci-fi writers, Arthur C. Clarke and Ray Bradbury.

You can view the show HERE. Turn up your speakers a bit. (evil laugh)

I have only read one. It was years ago. Something about robots taking over, after getting bored with doing all the domestic stuff? I suppose they are all about that? It was very good anyway.

I don't read science fiction at all, as it does not appeal. This was a good one though.

Will Smith. The Keanu ship has sailed until Neuromancer or Snow Crash become movies.
