Jericho

I'm not much for non-reality t.v. shows, but Jericho looks like a good one to me. It's about a town that is on the hinterlands of a nuclear exchange and the problems that they face as a result. I for one, plan on watching. It reminds me of a movie made years ago(the 80s to be exact) along the lines of a similar plot. A mother and her children in a town where many were dying from cancer as a result of contamination in the environment.

Has this just premiered in the US too? Because it was on here last night. Are we actually getting something at the same time?

I really liked it. Great to see Skeet Ulrich back. This kind of thing really scares me, not in the terrorist sense, just the grand scale catastrophe. The twist with the prison bus was good (well, I didn't see it coming). What do you think the story is with the "ex-cop" from St. Louis?

I was hoping for something more. There were a few attention-getting moments (the dead birds scattered all over the road, the scene where they play the tape of that boy's mother) and the cast is great, but the episode was disappointing. I like the premise so I'll give it a few more chances, but if the pilot is going to be as goood as it gets I may not become a diehard viewer.

Missed it last night.:( Is there a way to watch on youtube.com or something?

CBS is planning to rerun the premiere episode this Saturday at 8:00 PM EST. I believe you can also watch the show here. I can’t confirm because I don’t have broadband.

I enjoyed the first show and will probably watch a few more to see where the show goes. I love how they handled the bomb itself, without fanfare and with little special effects; it made it seem much more surreal and scary. I’m curious as to what is going on with Jake. Where has he been, and for what did he need that money? What’s the deal between he and his dad? I’m also intrigued by the guy claiming to be an ex-cop. I predict he’s a fed of some sort. I didn’t see either the prison bus or the Atlanta twists coming. I love Gerald McCraney and Pamela Reed, and am happy to see them in something new.

Pilots IMO are usually never as good as it the show ends up, if it is not cancelled that is. I do feel the show was a little flat. I now there is going to be a lot of poeple reacting to events and putting out fires, I just hope there is a little more to it than that.

I do love the premise of Jericho and hope they can capitalize on what could be a really great show.

I used to watch Simon and Simon and really liked that show. I really like McCraney's character in the HBO series Deadwood as well. That is a role I could'nt picture him in at first, but he is great.

So far I like what they have done. They have set the groundwork on what could be a really great show!

I had recorded it and just now watched. It was different and I liked it. It is something that could happen and where would we go...
