Joe Hill: Heart Shaped Box

I bought it a while back, my friend had a copy and said it sounded really good.

Neither of us have got very far with it though! I got seriously bored and moved on to something else. I'll finish it when I've got nothing better lined up I expect. My friend's opinion is similar to mine.

Great idea for a story but the characters just seem wrong and it's all just a bit off the mark for my liking. I was hoping for a good old fashioned ghost story with some added menace, and it hasn't so far delivered that.

I read the 1st and reading the 2nd now.
I just wondered if you liked them or not?
I did and I am, and hope he writes more.

I read "Heart Shaped Box" a few months ago.

I muxt admit, I only picked it up because I knew who his father was, and I was curious.

I liked it. he did a very good job with the subtle and not-so-subtle creepiness.

I still, honestly, do not know if I liked it because I reallyl iked it, or if I was biased because of who his dad is.
