I'd love to hear if there are any other fans of Keith Ablow here.
I absolutely adore his books; they're very fast-paced, graphic, and full of psychological insight to his characters. You get the feeling that if you were to have a half-hour hour discussion with him, by the end of it, he would know EVERYTHING about you (even those things you didn't want anyone to know) - much like you'd feel if you met Dr Phil!
Dr Keith Ablow is a forensic psychiatrist himself, and has taken the stand as an expert witness in a lot of highly publicised trials.
If you've ever watched Court TV you may have seen him.
Most of his novels are of the 'hunt for a serial killer' genre.
So far I've read: Psychopath, Compulsion, Denial, Projection, Murder Suicide, and Inside the mind of Scott Peterson.
Psychopath, Compulsion, Denial, and Projection are totally unputdownable (is that a word? ) Murder suicide is a little slower and in my opinion, not as gripping as the others.
Inside the Mind of Scott Peterson is rather a slow read. It was written after the event, so lacks the tension of the others, but if you like psychology you'd probably enjoy it.
If anyone wants to check him out, go to his website (www.keithablow.com); I'd thoroughly recommend his books and I'd be glad to hear your opinions.
I have only one Keith Ablow book left in my TBR pile (The Architect). I'm almost scared to start it, because once that's gone, I'm into the realms of having to wait for him to write another one!
