I just saw the second Hobbit movie as well. Well done, but I'm frustrated that they made such a long movie out of such a short book. And that they added so much to it.

The things they have added are also stories that are in the various addendums to LOTR and other books and are part of the whole mythology of Middle Earth.

Judge Dee and The Rise of the Sea Dragon - totally brilliant and for once the reviewers were right. It is better than the first one.

Feng Xiaogang - Personal Tailor.

A very difficult movie to say anything about without giving it away and although I'm not usually one to really care about the plot being revealed this is one movie that you need to watch without knowing. Let's just say it is an unexpected journey.

I have no hesitation in highly recommending this. 10 / 10

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire for me too.

Just saw it for the first time last night on DVD. It was very faithful to the book, as was the first movie, which is a major plus for my recommendation. I swore I wasn't going to see this film till the two Mockingjay movies were out so I could see the whole thing in one marathon viewing .... but .... the flesh is weak [:- (

Dylan Thomas: A Poet In New York

Tom Hollander did a great job of portraying the man at the height of his powers, shitting on top of his nearest and dearest while drinking himself to death.

Dylan's famous last works:

'I've just drunk eighteen straight whiskies, I think that's a record.'

I just watched a really good one last night on H.B.O. called the island,it was about these people that were in an institute all of their lives, they had never been outside, they were brainwashing all of these people, they would have a lottery drawing, and the lottery drawing, they would tell them that they were going to the island, when their really was no island,so they were brainwashing all of these people in the institute, when they would tell them they were going to the island what that really meant was that they were going to kill them. They all had a benefactor, what was supposed to happen was, if the original person died, then they were supposed to die also, It kept me on the edge of my seat.

I finally watched Into Darkness over the weekend. I continue to be impressed with the quality of the alterations to the original story line.

It is almost as if Bradbury is reaching out from the grave and pulling a Lucas.

Yeah, I enjoyed that movie, it's quite funny when American Ewan meets Scottish Ewan.

There's another film called Never Let Me Go, which deals with the same premise in an understated and quiet way, I recommend that movie too.
yea it was, thanks,I'll have to watch that one,do you know if it's on netflix?
