Unstoppable - I enjoyed it and as usually Denzel was solid. I don't know how much of the story is true but it was a good edge of your seat thriller. 8/10

The film is a mixture of Black Hawk Down, District 9 and Independence Day. I really enjoy the action though at times it was like watching Cloverfield because the camera was moving too fast for you to see anything. You won't get much acting or plot but if you want action then you should enjoy it. 7/10

I love this film so much. Have you see any of Anderson's other films, The Life Aquatice, Rushmore, The Royal Tenebaums? All great movies.

Jackass 3D ~ A a powerful, sobering deconstruction of the world's various crises. 
Day of the Triffids ~ ok BBC adaptation of one of my fave books. At least the triffids didn't look that ridiculous. Check out the early 80's Beeb series for a more faithful adaptation.
The Adjustment Bureau ~ Matt Damon and Emily Blunt elevate this story of star crossed lovers fighting fate.
Inside Job ~ amazing documentary on the '08 financial collapse that cogently lays out what happened and who profited from it. Narrated by Damon.
Ip Man ~ part kung fu film, part anti Japanese propaganda, this is a fictionalized retelling of the Chinese martial artist who brought Wing Chun kung fu to the masses and his battles with the Japanese occupiers during WWII. In his later years, Bruce Lee would be one of his students. Donnie Yen kicks all kinds of ass in the title role.

Black Death. It reminded me a lot of Sauna, which is a better film, but this was still pretty damn good. Eddie Redmayne continues to impress me.

I got to thinking - how come so very few movies use the black death as a backdrop? It's one of the biggest crises humanity has faced, it offers a ton of possible stories, and yet off the top of my head I can only think of three films that use it - The Seventh Seal, Monty Python And The Holy Grail, and some really bad Rutger Hauer movie I caught on cable once.
