Literary resolutions

Here is a good write up on the topic, do you have any literary resolutions for the coming new year?:whistling:

Great article SFG, I believe my only literary resolution, will be the same as last year. To try to read more books than we buy. Hasn't happened yet, but while there is life, there is hope.

What I should resolve is to Buy No More Books till at least half of the unread ones around here are read. Yeah, that's gonna happen.
Wait! I hear the UPS truck.......:whistling:

Too soon to know.:whistling:

But I think more of the same:
1. Read more of modern and avant-garde works, any original language
2. Keep current reading levels, approximately 65 books per year
3. Work down my TBR pile from always being about 50-75 books deep, and then ending up mostly unread.
4. Start serious thought about my memoir (doesn't everyone have one?)
5. Read some of the wonderful non-fiction works I have
6. Keep on buying selected good ones, for someday.
7. Keep working on my crazy idea of poetry.

Nothing flashy, but I wish there were more time for some huge tomes.

Yours?

:flowers: and Happy New Year!

Read more classics
Focus on titles in my TBR pile
Buy less books
Save up enough money for a Kindle or other e-reader.

. . . so basically, more of the same things I try telling myself to do :D.

Definitely reading more of the books on my shelves. I have gems, GEMS, I tell you! But I'm still distracted by shiny new books elsewhere. Sigh.
