Hi All,
I've been searching for this book i read almost 2 years ago, its driving me crazy that I can't find it anywhere. Im hoping someone could help.
Basically this is what I can remember from the book, it's about a girl who lives in a landlords basement with her family, the mother eventually becomes pregnant and gives birth then dies. As the family continues to struggle she ends up marrying the landlord to provide a better life to the rest of her family. She eventually ends up opening a brothel and other than that all I can remember is the girl her mother gave birth too goes missing and then she suspects it was her ex husband but later finds out it was her brother?
Sorry it sounds jumbled but this is most the parts I can remember. Any help would be greatly appreciated
