Looking for Series Action/Adventure/Fiction

Hi I am looking for a new good book series to start. I have read the
Eragon series
Harry Potter
Hunger Games
Enders Game
Most all Cornelia Funke and Orson Scott Cards Books
Percy Jackson
However I am looking for something a bit more mature as I have grown up myself. Something anyone from 18+ or so could enjoy. Thanks!
 
I haven't read them, and if you've been watching the shows you'll have had a bit of a spoiler, but friends keep telling me how much they love Game of Thrones.
 
What about some of the books of the Star Trek (TOS or TNG) series, or Star Wars for that matter?

Do you like mysteries, or detective stories?
 
The Dune series.

The Mongoliad trilogy was thoroughly enjoyable. I haven't gotten around to book four yet though.
