Michael Chabon

St. Stephen

I think he's one of the best writers alive.

The Coen brothers are supposed to be making The Yiddish Policeman's Union in the near future.

I read the Amazing Adventures of Kavelier and Clay and enjoyed it for the most part. Been meaning to get back to that author. What would you recommend by him?

The Yiddish Policemen's Union. It's an alternative history/detective novel. The Jews are given Alaska in 1948 after Israel collapses.

Thanks! Sounds interesting. I haven't read many alternative history stories, the only one I can think of is Phillip Roth's The plot against America, which I liked.
When I get back to Chabon, I'll grab this one.
