Name the Novel (How's that for alliteration?)

I was on another BookForum recently, and I stumbled upon a nice little bookgame. This is how it works:

I give you a clue regarding a certain novel, and you have to guess which one I'm alluding to, author and title.

Here's the clue:

A tale about Life, and the entire Universe, and, well... Everything, really.

I picked a not to difficult one to start out with. So, if anyone knows, let me know. Oh, and by the way, the person who guesses it right is supposed to give the next clue (piece of advice for future clue-givers: don't make it to difficult, make sure the book you're alluding to is a rather well known one, if at all possible).

The story of a young man from Nazareth, struggling to bring about a change in the lives of the people around him, both socially and religiously.

(Yah, I couldn't really think of a book.... :rolleyes: )
 
Wow, gee, lemme think...

Right, I've narrowed it down to two options. It's either:

a) The fabulously well known, and critically acclaimed new novel by Jackie Collins, called 'Embrace of the Heaving, Sweaty and Exposed Bossom', a novel everybody should (and will, eventually) have. This will forever profoundly change the way mankind will look upon bossoms. Don't say I didn't tell you, when six or seven years from now your bossom or a bossom near to you will change the world as we know it. Must-read.

or:

b) That little known and severely outdated book with all kinds of strange tales and even stranger songs concerning this wacky guy who builds himself something he calls a planet (from spare-parts, obviously) in his garage in his free time. What's it called again? By... Bile... Bible, that's it, the Bible (also known as: 'Building and Governing Planets for Dummies').

Err... My new clue... Lemme think.

Right. Here goes. Story of friendship, valour, brotherhood, heroic deeds, sacrifice and that little touch of magic that every good story needs.

There you go. Give it a shot... You either immediately know this one (because, well... it's not a very difficult one) or you'll never guess it.

Sheesh, difficult clue. I can only think of a film (which could be based on a book of course). The film I'm refering to is 'Frequency' with Dennis Quaid and Jim Caviezel. Probably not right, is it?

Oh, another novel that popped into mind right now is 'Cryptonomicon'. I haven't read it but I believe it is about a father and a son, and some connection between them. Probably wrong also, right?

Ah well...

Ooh, and Corso, Harry Potter was wrong. Try again.

Errr... Right, here goes. I'm going to give you a very odd phrase that is used quite often in the novel I'm alluding to:

"Seeing-eye Bitch"
