It was a book I read once in high school, and I loved it a lot but haven't been able to re-find it since and I'm desperately searching for it. I can't find anything about it anywhere online.
From what I remember it was a modern spin; a young adult novel most likely since I was reading it in high school. I believe it was set in a southern area, Haiti or Florida or something in the Caribbean region. The book had an orange cover (if I remember right) and I -believe- it was a female author. Since it was a book I was reading in my high school years it couldn't have been any newer than 2011-2013, and that's assuming it was brand new back then.
Please help?
