In 2nd to 5th grade there was a particular series of "children's thrillers" that I'm desperately trying to find again. Me, being out of highschool now, has no recollection of the name of the book or the author.
These "thrillers" were usually short stories or poems with amazing, pen and ink illustrations. To describe the illustrations they were: thin, thread-like, grotesque, and surreal. I wish I could provide more detail, but this is all I know.
I remember the cover of the books were usually white with black text. I know someone out there MUST know.
