Need suggestions for violent books with twists & turns

Hi, I'm new and would just like to get suggestions on a book that would suit me. I like violent books that are filled with twists and turns. I like nicely written books but not to the point that it is uncomprehendable. Some romance but not a romance novel. Some humor, maybe dark humor. Written in first person with a 20 year old or so narrator. I enjoy mafia and old western themes mostly but some midevil times novels and okay. I prefer that it is realistic but if not it should be extremely far out. I guess this is broad and very specific at the same time. Any suggestions would be excellent. Thanks!
 
Potshot is an awesome book about a mystery killing that finally a private investigator has to take up because no one can find the killer. FULL of twists and turns and has a totally awesome ending.

Although I have not read this novel, I believe it would suit your specifications.
