Hi everyone.

I must admit I actually joined this site for the sole purpose of finding out the title of a book. That effort has so far proved futile but, I've decided to go ahead and participate in this forum as I am an avid reader and am already an active member on countless other forums. What's one more, right? ;)

Not much to tell about myself really. I'm begrudgingly in high school where I sit, bored out of my mind, or pretend to take notes while actually writing bits of short stories or poems. I'm a former band geek, and a current drama geek. When I'm not memorizing monologues I'm writing for the school newspaper. I'm the Opinions Editor.

I have way to many obsessions to be healthy. When I like something I REALLY like it. Some of my oldest, everlasting obsessions include, Harry Potter, Sherlock Holmes, Nancy Drew, House, The X-Files, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Disney, Disneyland, musical theatre, and many many other things. Star Wars and Harry Potter are probably my oldest obsessions. I'm a HUGE dog person. I fear I love dogs more than people. Not so big on cats.

I spend my days reading, writing, watching movie after movie, gaming, surfing the internet, stargazing, daydreaming, quoting obsure quotes, arguing over pointless things, drawing, designing random graphics, and of course sleeping.

I believe this devotchka may have lied when she said there isn't much to tell. In case you haven't been able to pick it up, I love to talk.

Questions, comments? Words of love? Words of hatred? No words at all?

Welcome! I see you're reading Stardust. I'm also currently reading Gaiman, and I'm actually drawing a portrait of him for my art class. Stardust was one of my favorite books. How do you like it so far? Have you read any of his short story collections or poetry?

Just finished Stardust...it was lovely. Gaiman has such an imagination and I love his writing style.

I have yet to read his SS's or poetry. Maybe you could refer me to some.

Welcome, Geek. Good to have you here, so enjoy yourself, and stuff.

Welcome FaerieGeek! This is a great forum - I've only been here about a week, but I'm havin tons of fun. Nancy Drew got me started really reading fiction in my middle school years - love it.

Have fun!

Thanks Mc!

No problem...

And a question, why in the hell does everyone call me 'MC?' Is that all they can remember in my username or something? Not that there's anything wrong with that. :D

LOL-I think you'll fit in here just fine, welcome to the board!.:) As for words of hatred, that's abecedarian's area.;)

I have his anthology, Fragile Things, and I love it. It is a collection of his short stories and poems. There's another one I want called Smoke and Mirrors, and I think it had better reviews than Fragile Things. I'm sure you'll like it. He writes a very interesting kind of story.

Ok thanks. I'll be sure to put it on my list.
