@ Robert - Sounds like a motivating way to think of it. Just goes to prove my suspicion that at least half the work is done by the right mindset when it comes to quitting the smokes.
Regardless of whether it's easy I'm just grateful I won't have to bother with it.
And about the monetary cost of smoking: I'm a student, one of those poor poor people. I have no occupation to speak of beside my studies so I live off of the state support I get and what little extra I make. And I make do. Some of my peers who work their butts off and do proportionately worse in their studies complain they never have any money when they smoke a pack of cigs a day. I'm sorry did I just hear you, who makes twice as much/month as I do complain to *me* about not having any money? Nahhh I must be imagining things.
I know it's not entirely fair, it's all about priorities. People wonder how I can afford to buy all those books, well for one I don't smoke so there's the first let's say 2 books a week when comparing with less consumptive smokers. And second: I don't blow around 50 $ every weekend out on the town...
But still, if there's something I can't stand it's when smoking peers of mine start complaining about not being able to afford the things I have that they don't, 'cause that's just... frustrating.
No offense to anyone - it just seemed a relevant thread to post this little rant in.
