PBS's Downton Abbey

We watched the first two seasons, but haven't watched the latest one, third, I think? I read about one of the story lines, and frankly it's very anti-female IMO. What I really dislike about the show is, what seems to me, it's constant torture and killing off of it's women.

My mum loves it... I watched half of one episode and got bored with it. Just not my sort of series I suppose.
