Penguins.

Maybe those penguins are really space bats in the forms of pengins! The plot thickens... and I am staying away from those fiends!!!

Uh I think I have a little penguin problem here.

I don't know what's going on, but my edit button morphed into a penguin. Sometimes when I write a reply to a thread a smilie or one of the text buttons changes into a penguin. It happend recently, that I opend another site and there were some of this penguins!

So, is this thing a virus or whats going on here???
I'm not kidding, so please help me!

Try not to panic. STAY CALM! The penguins are using their mind control powers on you.

Quickly, but calmly, run and get some tin foil. Fashion a lovely hat from tin foil and that should block their fishy brain waves! Good luck!!!!!!

Well, Gizmo, truly -- the only penguins I've seen here are images in the posts, but then, they like me. If you're not kidding, then I'd definitely check for a virus, 'cause that's a little weird...

Now you have me doubting!! You were kidding... right???

No I'm definitley not kidding. To write this message I had to push a write-button which has latley morphed into a evil penguin.
Gosh this sound quiet insane, but believe me they are everywhere!

Yep, definitely check for a virus. Do you have a program? If not, check McAfee Free Virus Scan Maybe a site you visited. It wasn't me, I swear! My penguin world domination includes only land masses, not cyberspace!

Good luck!

Cathy

Thanks I'll get back my Norton tomorrow but I'll try your site.
By the way it's a pretty strange virus!

OK. I tried 3 pograms (this McAfee Scan, the McAfee Stinger [I love this little guy] and some ad-aware) and they found:
W32/Korgo.worm.v (about 2 million times)
W32/Pate.b.dll

You know I love my little notebook but it tends to invite the wrong friends for a sleepover and everytime I come home this nasty suckers wrecked my whole furnishings (sorry could not find a better word, this one sounds wrong to me).

I think it's time to get a good firewall going. Any suggestions? I tend to buy McAfee because it looks nasty enough to kill everything off! I bought a Norton Virus Scan last year and I hate it because it is so nice and yellow. By the way every time Norton finds some adaware/ spyware I tell him to kil it and he tells me, that it failed (such a wimp).

Goodnight, sleep tight, don't let the bedbugs bite! (on my end of the world its 1 o'clock in the morning)

The McAfee on-line subscription is nice for a laptop, because you can keep it running in the background, even when you're at a public port. It stops it before it can load anywhere.

At home, I use Trend Micro's PC-cillian, because it's usually the most up-to-date. It updates definitions EVERY DAY!

I don't like the attached Spyware programs of any of them. I use a little shareware program I found called "SpyWare Killer" from a company called Cosmi. It only cost $9.00 at the discount store and keeps finding WAY more spyware cookies and worms than the others!

Glad McAfee was able to help, Gizmo! I'll have to talk to those penguins! Hacking is a nasty habit!

I want to plug AVG!!! It's fantastic. It's free. It updates every day ( if you want it to ) and it has heuristic analysis which means that apart from signitures it also uses it's own code to detect a virus. So, it's possible that it can detect a virus even before there is a signiture out there for the virus! It scans your email, hard drive and everything! It's the best one I have tried. Better, in my humble opinion than Norton or PC-cillin.

AVG anti virus

What concerns me is that if you are really seeing penguins and being sent to penguin type pages then somebody from this forum hacked your machine. There are about four people that have complained about the penguins. There are two that I would suspect and have the knowledge to pull it off. I bet they tried to hack my machine. I'm going to be checking my logs in the various programs that I have. If you tried, im comming for you. And if I find you, ill take you to the police.

i tell you those penguins are evil
i can prove it (sort of)

i catch this penguin trying to rob a little kids necklace
aimg54.exs.cx_img54_6809_cap0000.jpg
aimg54.exs.cx_img54_7236_cap0001.jpg
in the first two you can see how he its trying to take away the necklace from the kid
aimg54.exs.cx_img54_3125_cap0002.jpg
in this one you can see all that evilness on those scary little black eyes
aimg54.exs.cx_img54_2742_cap0003.jpg
i think it was about this point he realized he wouldnt be able to rob the necklace trough the glass
aimg86.exs.cx_img86_1691_cap0004.jpg
this its the moment when he was getting ready to jump the glass barrier

its a shame i cant show you the rest of the pics since the police havent give them back (forensic evidence they said), even when i ask for them after the penguin was released on parole (why this soylent green inc. company would pay all those expensive lawyers for a penguin? )
anyway they were to bloody for a public forum

but im telling you they are evil
pure evil

Penguins are stupid birds that serve no purpose. It is my conviction that they - and anyone affiliated with them - should be subjected to a mass culling, thereby bringing down their race to a more manageable size and a generally more agreeable taste. It is widely known amongst those who know that a penguin only tastes good when there are only a few of them left...Therefore, as an eater of penguins, I propose that all but 20 of the penguin species should be bludgeoned with a blunt spoon. After this, we can carefully farm them and regulate their numbers, there-by improving their ability to impress the palate.

wc,

I'm confused by your reply. "Ban" means "to prohibit or shut out." (See "The Short History of bobbyburns" for an anecdotal example.) You seem to object to Ou Be's sentiment, yet you go on to reiterate it.

I hope you don't take this question the wrong way, as I am only asking out of straightforward curiosity: what is your first language?

Mr Michel! Thanks for bringing the evil of those penguins to our attention! I can only imagine the poor fate that the child faced at the hands, well... flippers of that penguin! Will nothing stop them? *shakes head*

They are showing their true colors now that we know of their existence! *frightened*
