Over a year ago while trying to think of books I most enjoyed as a kid to recommend to my nephew(no interest in books whatsoever) I stumped myself and it's been driving me nuts ever since. One book was about some kid getting chased/followed from world to world and somehow he was being transported through these invisible dome-bubble things. When he appeared in one of these, he found himself in this huge dark forest and the bubble was surrounded by all these giant frogs with needle teeth and he had to get through them to reach the castle or something like that. That is about all I remember. The other book is about some kid that summers at a lake - lots of beautiful old summer homes - and one dilapidated old house on an overgrown island that was supposed to be haunted or something like that. Does either one of these books ring a bell to anyone? Please help put my mind at ease!
