[Catalyst]

ok i NEVER let anyone see my poems! so this is a big thing to me! il play it safe and put one up that i wrote when i was about 12! so it is a little simple. i wrote it when my dog died but it ended up being about a person dieing instead! enjoy ~

i never saw you before you went away
but now i see you everyday
in a strangers smile
a passing glance
a sudden smell
and sunlights dance
i hear your laugh
carried by the breeze
my heartbeat skips
its just Gods tease
i feel you are safe
in another land
of comfort and peace
in caring hands
but your spirit still lives
in the grass and the trees
in the sky and the earth
the sun and the seas
you are all around me
in eveything i see
you are part of this world
it was meant to be

i dont usually like rhyming poems but it ended up being one. it reminds me of another poem someone else wrote! cant remember who though.

I hope you feel comfortable posting your work here. I had a little trouble posting my first poem, but now it gives me a little thrill to see how other people react to it. I also found that a few people are "real" (higher education) poets. They have lots of advice and constructive criticism that's helped me. I love your style, keep it coming!
