I'll bring some scones from a local bakery we just discovered which are to die for. They should go well with that. Here here!....(raises coffee with warm sugar cookie creamer by coffee mate)
We don't have a Christmas drink
Never had any. Never even heard of it before.
Your homework:
Ingredients:
5 centilitres cachaça
1 lime
2 to 3 Tl brown sugar
Instructions:
Quarter (or eighth) half of a lime into a glass and add the brown sugar. With a pestle/muddler muddle the lime and sugar. Add the cachaça and a stirring spoon (Important: For the protection of the glass before the water!) and top with hot water. Stir and serve.
Notes:
Hot caipi is served with less limes than "normal" Caipirinha because the hot water strengthens the taste of the ethereal(essential) lime oils.
Hot caipi, like all hot drinks, do not serve with straw .
