Thanks you for your thoughtful, open and honest post. That could be an end to this discussion as far as I am concerned, except for new issues you raise.
"Holier than thou?" I'll think about it. I regret if my tone bothers you, I'll think more carefully about it.
"Us" meant the members of the forum, so we can all understand the guidelines on posting. Evidently we all don't, yet.
"constant insults in an undermining way"? I don't think I try to undermine the mods. I certainly do not try to insult the mods; that is clearly a stupid and losing game. But if you say so, I'll desist from any moderator-related comments. I do however think that you and I definitely have different views about many things and that, for quite a while now -- ever since a long discussion of why I don't participate in BOTM -- you frequently respond to remarks of mine that you differ with. I would simply say that differences of opinion are not "undermining." You have your thoughts and opinions and I have mine.
Are we clear now, perhaps?

It was someone else who shut down that discussion, not you, and when I mentioned it then without naming names, you mistakenly assumed I meant you. I am sorry you have labored under that mistaken impression all this while.
