I’m a big lover of real country, and today’s stuff isn’t it. I mean, boot scoot’n booty? Really? I’ll take me some Waylon and Willie, some Eddie Rabbit, a little Crystal Gale, maybe Hoyt Axton; what I will not do, is listen to rock and roll disguised as backwoods crap.
We have an AM station around here that plays only classic country, and I can sing along with a good 80% of it, even to this day. What happened to couples who got drunk, came home, danced and then made love? What’s wrong with that? Why they gotta ‘boogie’ today?

I find it deliciously ironic that this "altCountry" band is more true to traditional Country than the modern Jingoistic pop stuff.
