No, just big trucks. Locomotives now...there is some cool factor there.

Why must my daughter carry a backpack full of books around when every publication she could possibly need from kindergarten to post grad can fit in her pocket?
 
Because thumbing through books is sometimes easier. And it's more comforting.


What did I get myself into?
 
A mess. One big mess. You're done in now for sure.

My daughter has expressed an interest in learning to drive. Shoot myself now or wait for the stroke?
 
6 am and your doorbell rings; it's a sheriff's officer. What is your first thought? (not a rhetorical question, this day has started off with a bang)
 
Burglary attempt down the street. They caught two suspects, and were looking for a third. Our Garage door is open and the officer wanted to know if this was normal(it is, one door is damaged) and if we always kept that ladder going up to the attic(we do). They were still combing the area when I took Mr. Abc to work at 6:45, but were gone when I got back just after 7. I'm hoping they caught the third guy. Our street ends in a turnaround, and there's lots of hiding places behind the hedgerow behind our house, or across the main road going into town. Who says nothing ever happens out here in the sticks?
 
No 4x4, just a mini-van..which is much better than our old 15 passenger van, but still.
