Interesting articles. Books are so important, they can teach things to narrow minded people, and there are so many people in the prison system that are illeterate. Something needs to be done about this. Apparently some states are more willing to do something about it then others.

Last week saw me make my first donation of books to the prison system here; a minimum security facility. Interestingly, the maximum security prison here (we only have one) does not allow for donations of kind.

I would have thought that books would have been of more benefit to inmates of a maximum security facility than that of a minimum security one. Hmm...
