I haven't read it.
THanks. I did read the first short story, Hands, and that was rather good. Based on when I bought the book, the story was certainly memorable to have stuck with me for a year.I'm sorry to hear that. I'm thinking about buying it and yours is an opinion that I trust.
I recently bought 6 different full color flower/garden books. I have 2 enormous garden books but they are so heavy and large that they are awkward to browse. The reason I love these new little flower books is that they are only about 5.5 inches by 6.5 inches big so they are really easy to hold and look through. Also, all the books are in full color and have wonderful pictures of the flowers.
The books are put out by DK Garden Guides (www . dk.com). The titles I bought are:
Great Plant Guide
Perennials
Annuals & Biennials
Garden Trees
Bulbs
Shrubs and Climbers

Since it's seen as an American classic and, as far as Anderson goes, his best work, buy it.
Being DK books, I bet they're gorgeous.
Yes, they are vivid and beautiful. Also, they don't dig into my body when I hold them, which is a big plus!
Strong's Exhausted Concordance. The book is heavy
HA! Too funny!
This is the same pastor that handed me a huge volume of some high-tone theology book from his library after we'd asked to join the church, and told me "You'll need to study this.. there WILL be a test!"
He has a good sense of humor!
there really IS a test...
Got a coupon from B&N via email. 15% off plus the membership, 40% off. I'm going to buy John Connolly's The Reapers later today.
"The Reapers are the elite of killers, shadow men who exist only to end the lives of others, and Louis, confidante of troubled private detective Charlie Parker, was once among their number. Now the sins of his past are about to be visited upon him, for someone is hunting Louis, targeting his home, his businesses, and his partner, Angel. The instrument of revenge is Bliss, a killer of killers, the most feared of assasins, and a man with a personal vendetta against Louis.
But when Louis and Angel decide to strike back, they disappear, and their friends are forced to band together to find them. They are led by Parker, a killer himself, a reaper in waiting . . ."
