He is certainly the nicest and best of the group so far. :)
Unless we count VN himself? Vera may have something to say about that! :D
If VN is going to be there, the guys might as well stay home.

Nonsense. That'd be no fun at all! :D

Where is Still, by the way, I thought she might've joined our party... and given Halo back her signature.

Ah, I didn't say he wouldn't do! But okay, you have him Pontalba. I'm getting ready for our next victim. ;)

How old is SK, by the way?

btw, absolutely Love Your Avatar! :D :D
It's um... true though! :D

I love yours too! I think I mentioned that in the Lolita thread, but just in case... :)

Without going back and looking, if I remember correctly about early 30's.
I am due for a reread. But I have 3 other books I'm reading at present. ;)

One of which is one my book fairy gave me--Autobiography of a Geisha by Sayo Masuda and translated by G.G. Rowley.
I can't say enough good things about this book. Really.

I liked that one. The Music Zone fairy gave me it a while ago.

Here's what I brought home from the library today:

The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loana-Umberto Eco

The Master and Margarita-Mikhail Bulgalov

The Long Night of White Chickens-Francisco Goldman

A Scots Quair-Lewis Grassic Gibbon ( Contains:Sunset Song, Cloud Howe, & Grey Granite) ( Thanks Stewart!)

Rise to Rebellion-Jeff Shaara ( sale cart!)

If ya'll don't see me for awhile, I'm sure you'll understand;)

The usual couple from Borders:

The New York Trilogy - Paul Auster ; at last,

Weimar Culture - the Outsider as Insider - Peter Gay; looks authentic.

Do you know if this Peter Gay is the same one who was killed in the plane crash in PA on 9/11?

I know it wasn't directed at me, but I don't think it is the same person. Wikipedia doesn't have a date of death for the writer and when I searched for the other person it said he was in his 50's, and the writer would be older.

Hope that helps. :)

ABC,
Apparently not. My google shows a Peter Gay of Raytheon Operations in Massachusetts who died in the crash.

Here is the author of Weimar Culture from the Web:
Peter Gay

which BTW looks like an interesting data base.
