Recommend a good Adventure Book filled with intricate plot that makes you think hard?

As the topic suggests, do you all suggest a book of that nature? I want a book that leads me on an adventure to uncover something. Possibly something involving a conspiracy where the main character is crazy, yet he is right about his thoughts.
