Recommendations please...

I'm interested in the fantasy and sci-fi genres, but I'm more interested in some specifics for the romance sub-plot. I absolutely love novels where the main male protagonist falls in love with a exceptionally strong female(strong willed, feisty, etc). Moreover, if there is adult content to the romance subplot - that is fine but not necessary.
I was thinking of reading books such as the Riyria Revelations, Mistborn, and The Night Angel Trilogy but I wanted some recommendations to see if they actually contain what I'm looking for!

I liked Sharon Shinn's Archangel series; nothing else is jumping to mind at the moment....

I would suggest the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini, but I'm not sure if romance is a big thing in it...it's a part of the story, but I wouldn't label it a romance. It is a really great fantasy series. The best I've read.
