Sci-Fi series that you gave up on

What are some science-fiction series that you started reading, but could never finish because the latter books in the series were not as good as the first one? :confused:
 
The Dune series. The first one was great, but the two sequels Herbert wrong went down in quality real fast. I tried reading the ones his won wrote and they were unreadable.
 
I feel the same Juleeming...I really tried to like the series...but...Just couldn't do it.
Luckily there are plenty of authors and books out there to read...:)

I wish I had given up on the Ender's Game series. After Speaker for the Dead, each one became increasingly worse.

"Foundation" series by Isaac Asimov
"Ender's Game" series by Orson Scott Card
"Hyperion Cantos" series by Dan Simmons
