Very good Jenn. An Atomic Wedgie as I remember, was when the waistband of the underwear made it over the head of the person wearing the underwear.

In a sence, if the waistband could be "transformed" into a chin strap.....

THAT was an ATOMIC WEDGIE!!!!!

I am not a member of that particular club I'm pleased to say.

Jeez, how much elastic do you guys have in your underwear!! I dont think M&S make them like that anymore! :D

A personal favorite at our school was the 'peanut', not anything underwear related thank god, but it basically involved yanking down on the end of someone's tie very hard, so that the knot at the top tightened into as small a know as possible - if you did it very hard it could take hours to get the thing undone again! :p

Phil

That was fun. Never called it peanut though - I don't think we had a name for it.
Another was just to slap someone across the forehead and shout SPAM!.

The Atomic Wedgie was much more myth than reality. For one thing the underwear would more than likely rip before being able to stretch that far, and secondly, the poor kid would probably be crying before things got that far, and thus ending the "good natured" torture.

It was more the threat than the action that made the atomic wedgie such a force to be reconed with.

What about tape wads and rubberbands? Eccentially a poor mans slingshot.
Wrap paper into a tight tube, bend it in the middle to create a "V" shape and wrap it in tape to hold shape. Now you've got an almost lethal projectile with a sturdy rubberband or two between your thumb and index finger. Leaves quite a welt when fired at close range.

Yeah....kids can be cruel....

our big thing was tag. *yawn* i'm sure, but it was an ongoing game right up until graduation and as our school was so large it was easy to get tagged and be it all day without seeing another person in your circle of friends.

There's also jobby. Or Shite! Just taking it in turns to shout a word and get louder each time. Was fun in class!
