Secret Santa 06?

Thank you so much for my gifts, I was going to wait until Christmas day to open it, but the temptation was too great! The book of short stories by New Zealand writers looks amazing, I will take it to work with me in case I get a quiet moment and have a read of it tonight. Also thank you for noticing that I do not use a proper bookmark - I will be able to now! The notebook will come in very handy as you say for keeping track of my TBR list - it is getting out of control, and the chocolate will go down a treat a little later - thank you! Christchurch looks beautiful - can't tell you how jealous I am that you live near to it!

You're very welcome! I was going to get you something LOTR, but I had no idea what you already had - from your posts it sounds like you have most things to do with Tolkein and his works!

P.S the little chocolate-type lollies are pineapple lumps - I'm pretty sure that they are native to NZ :D

Just finished the book that you got me Flor. Once again, thanks a million-it was a good read and was written from a perspective that isn't widely known, that being, from a CPA representative who was charged with training the people of two provinces how to create a functioning democracy......talk about a challenge!.

Sort of like getting Flor to show a sense of humor! Arf, woke up this morning with much better wit and perspective. I'm so glad you enjoyed the book SFG. You're a fast reader. Sounds as though the things Agha Rory or Sayyed Rory does best are the slow, painstaking, closeup entry into situations so he can relate them to the rest of us.
 
I got my Secret Santa today! It's a copy of Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby! I can't wait to read it as it has been on my TBR list for a long time :) Thanks so much, Ronan! I would PM you a thank you as well but I don't know who you are....it's still a secret to me :eek:
 
I sent a letter of thanks which has already been received, but I wanted to post a public one to Sofia for the great goodies she sent me. I got a bunch of chocolates, a mini spa kit and a copy of Skinny Dip by Carl Hiaasen. I actually managed to enjoy all three at the same time, and I'm in the process of deciding what lucky person will get Skinny Dip now that I'm done with it!!
