Shelby Foote

I saw news story about the death of Shelby Foote the other day. He was my favorite Civil War historian & author. Very sad. I highly recommend his books to anyone interested in learning about the American Civil War.

Thanks for pointing that out. I was unaware of his death.

I've seen him a number of times on PBS and always thought he would be an interesting author to read. I'll have to check out his works one of thses days.
