Short Story Collection by Polish Writer

I have been searching on it at Amazon all day with no luck. That is where I originally heard of this book. It is a collection of short stories by a Polish writer, and it is the first work of his translated and published in English. I believe it was recommended to me by Amazon because of my purchase of Zoran Zivkovic's "Hidden Camera". If you know that writer/book, I got the impression that this writer's style is like Zivkovic's. I also got the impression that the writer was under 50 years old. Would anyone happen to know the author's name and/or book?

No, but thank you for your help. And I should have mentioned beforehand that I knew it wasn't Gombrowicz
