Solved - Dean Koontz: From the Corner of His Eye

I know this is a long shot....but i started reading a book a long time ago and don't remember the name or author so i was hoping someone might have read it in here...

it is a murder mystery and it starts off with a guy hiking with a girl that he really adores....i think its his girlfriend. He describes how much he loves this girl in such detail. Then all of a sudden it cuts off to him killing the girl...by throwing her off a cliff or something. He finishes his lunch...then goes to look at the girl that he murdered and vomits. And i left off where investigators were investigating the half-digested vomit and how they were concluding that he ate the rest of his food AFTER the girl died. I lost this book and need help finding it....

has anyone read it? or have any suggestions as who the author may be? pLease let me know

The book is From The Corner of His Eye by Dean Koontz. I love that scene. It seems so normal, he seems so in love and then he just pushes her. It freaked me out when I read it. I thought what?? and had to reread it to make sure I read it right.

I JUST finished reading this. It is From the Corner of His Eye by Dean Koontz. It tells the stories of the murderer, the detective chasing him, and two other intertwined families. GREAT BOOK!!
