Hi, I'm looking for a book that I cannot remember the name of, who wrote it, or any part of the book except these few parts..
A man chains another man in the basement of his house, down in a type of cell. He achieves this by getting him very drunk and bringing him down there. He then starts sealing the door of the cell shut by laying bricks and cement. While he's doing this, the drunk man is slowly becoming more and more sober and coming to the realization of what's happening and becomes very frantic and basically starts freaking out.
At another point in the book, the man has a group of people in his house, and somehow he has robot duplicates of the people or something made, and the people watch as these "duplicates" are horrendously murdered and mutilated as they walk through the house, but it turns out it was the real people he did this to, not the duplicates.
Any idea what it is, or know of where I could potentially find out? Any help is very much appreciated!
