Of them all, I liked this one "i.n.d.i.a.

Actually Nepal has its own semi-official acronym (pasted across various tourism-related buildings in Kathmandu), along similar lines:

Never End Peace And Love

We're lovers, not fighters. That's how we stay warm in winter. ;)

i.n.d.i.a. is also my favorite

Very clever, Watercrystal!!

The Netherlands isn't the same as Holland. You wouldn't want to call Antwerp a country as well, now would you? :p

I thought Holland was just a province, or county, or whatever it's called. I just know that in general, Dutch people don't like to be called "Hollanders", "Nederlanders" being the more PC term.

Hmm, you know more than I do (but that's not really an accomplishment, is it?). I thought (and still think) that Holland is a different (though less-used) name for the Netherlands.

Cheers

Well, apparently, times they are a-changing:

Well, that'll teach me.

Thank God nobody on these Boards can read it. :D

But I'll admit it, none the less - you were absolutely right, Lies. Too bad they don't specify just which part of Holl .. the Netherlands is called Holland.

Cheers

At least that's what Wikipedia has to say on the matter.

Ah. You live and learn, right?

*hangs head in shame*

I'll be off, to lie down for a minute.

Cheers

Life would be incredibly dull if we didn't, right?

(Sleeping, in the middle of the day? Really? :p)
