Springtime Wonderland

I hear the noise of birds talking
squirrels run about
playing
I know they're playing
because I can see it
it seems as if they're having fun

The woodpecker
steady workig on a nest
he beats out a beat
telling the tree the news
The news; "She's gonna have babies soon
keep them safe for me"

The tree-frog is clasped to a leaf
he feels the energy from the heights
and energy of confidence
saying out loud
"I can go just 'bout anywhere
as high or low as I want"

Another one I really like Stig. Sounds like you've been missing the sun and now spring is here you feel much happier. I reckon spring has a definite effect on me, can't quite explain it. Maybe it's the smells or the warmth but you somehow feel differently. It's not just the sun, because where I live we still get very sunny weather in winter. It makes me want to go out and plant things.
