Stephen King: which book?

I know there is an "official" Stephen King thread but this is a bit different. I've been meaning for a while to give his books a try but i never know what to start with. So could anyone suggest which of his books would be a good start?

No problem. A good trick when you're searching for a thread on a particular author is to go to Advanced Search and choose "Search titles only" - that way you don't get a listing of every thread that mentions him/her, but just the ones with mention him/her in the title.
