Susan Kay: Legacy

has anyone read this book?

I found a copy at a local bookstore and I'm just wondering if it's worth the twenty two dollars the seller is asking for. I read (and enjoyed) Phantom so I assume I'll like this one too.

any thoughts?

I saw that book at my local library. Is it similar to Phantom in the sense that it's based on an older work of fiction?

I don't think it's based on another novel, just on the life of Queen Elizabeth.
I think it won a romance award, so I also wanted to know if it was sappy or not.

Legacy did win an award: the Georgette Heyer Historical Novel Prize (or so the cover says ). I'm not sure if it won any romantic fiction awards...

I didn't know Susan Kay wrote anything else! I'll have to check that out! I absolutely ADORED Phantom, and it is one of my very favorite books. I read it two or three times, and each time I could scarcely put it down.
