TBF: Moderation Issues

A lot of the women I met in there were in for bad checks and/or trying to "stop the cycle fo violence". Some were grannies. But that's another story.

Bad checks?

Is that like fraud or something?

As the getaway driver?

Gosh you're cute:) No, some got into drugs because of their men, some wrote bad checks because their guys wouldn't work and their kids were hungry, some became prostitutes to support their guys or their kids, and others were just evil women.

Something interesting if I may yank this thread back to the topic at hand....

There are currently three threads that are very TBF policy oriented.
Started by three different members in two different area's of TBF.

Before I posted this morning there was a total of 293 posts combined in those three threads.

Of those 293 posts only seven (7) were from the mods.

Now not all of those 293 are constructive and on-topic posts, but neither are all of the seven.

Not exactly a discussion is it? :(

Are you saying you want input from the mods? Regarding a lot of the questions you posed earlier, I noted that you said only Darren could answer them, so I've kept out of it really. I have been reading the threads with interest though! :)

Oooh....you have been reading...:D

That statement of course was my opinion. I think the buck stops right at the top, but that doesn't mean other opinions are like mine, and it doesn't mean there can not be a discussion around all this.

I think it would certainly help to have the mods playing an active part in these conversations.

Please Halo....speak freely.

Cheeky bugger! :p

I'm going to have to re-read all this first, and my lunch break is nearly over, so I'm not going to post now.

That's not the first time you've called me cheeky...

Are you trying to suggest I've got plenty o' junk in my trunk????

Well, you've already admitted you are, so you haven't got a leg to stand on.

I don't know. I didn't understand a word of that. ;)

Just as well, sweet Halo.. Mrs. Moto must have stood over Moto until he took his One A Day this morning:D

Oh, don't play innocent with me. You're a well rounded reader and member of international forums.

Cheeks could reference those things on your face that people like to pinch.
Or, could be the fleshy parts of the bum that you sit on. ;)

"Junk in my trunk" would be a slang reference to having anything from an ample, firm, nice arse, to having the Beyonce/ J-Lo big bouncing booty that many people find appealling in today's society.

Bottom line is....I think you're checking out my butt....:D

Now you've left me with those "appealing" mental images, I'm going and letting this thread get back on topic!

Moto, Still, you rabble-rousers! I just bumped into this thread late last night and by the time I read through it all - with all the sidetracks to other links - it was way past my bedtime and certainly too late to post anything coherent.

I really don't have anything new to add that hasn't already been said. I wish everyone would lighten up a bit. It's not the end of the world if a thread wanders a bit off-topic in the "book" section of the forums; nor is it bad to have controversial topics that skate on the edge a bit - I'd say it's healthy. The only time I have a problem is when it becomes a nasty, personal slanging match. The no politics rule is, what it is, however - as others have mentioned - in the past, there has been some leeway given.

Anyways, also just wanted to pop my head in and say halloo to everyone! :D

Yeah....somebody needs to do something about that SillILearn or who knows what might happen 'round here....

Halloo right back at ya baby....:D

Every time I pop in here, you guys have one of these threads going around.

Anyway, I was just on my usual round of forums I haven't visited in a while and wanted to say hello to everybody. :)

very time I pop in here, you guys have one of these threads going around.

What a shame. I would hope that the Nabokov threads or something else more inspiring would be what people think about TBF when they visit.:(
