Tell me what you read and I'll tell you who you are

Wells83,

Neat shelves! I never managed to keep all those little statues in mine... They get dusty and I get angry when I need to remove the dust from them... And my cat would anyway remove them all - he is very jumpy sometimes!

It seem that my interest are completely orthogonal to yours; I have rather different set of books. I probably could not make my mind about your character, but there are Hemingway, Steinbeck and may be some other stuff that I like. But - so many books about catholicism? I would be careful discussing religion with you, then...

Your would not be my type, sorry. But we could be friends

I got them for free from my church. My fiance is Catholic, so I'm in the process of converting. I'm not very religious though and it's definitely not one of my usual conversation starters. :)

I have three very rambunctious cats (they're all one year old so still pretty hyper) but luckily they stay clear of my books.

I've been pondering this and I think I have to say that looking at someone's music library tells more about them than the books on their shelves.

OK, here come the images of my shelves. I am moving to another country, so something like 90% of books are missing... I also do not have the books that I like the best, but never mind, here it goes:

I see Lonely Planet guides (fabulous), Jasper Forde (awesome), Terry Pratchett (!!!!), and Orson Scott Card (nice).

GIMP 2, eh? I was never able to "get it".

I think we'd get along. :D

No hurry. I'll be gone for the weekend. I say create another thread for music libraries in the music section.

Oh, and I forgot to actually "judge" you:

You're a seasoned traveler who seeks to see the "real" side of a country and eschews resorts. You look for the funny things in life. Chances are you have what would be considered an odd sense of humor.

What!!?...no Dan Brown! Pfft!

I actually do have some.

My fiance loves The Da Vinci Code. It must be in the basement. We have a few boxes of books down there.

He keeps trying to egt me to read it but I don't have the heart.

I was not talking about YOU. But - if you see a pretty young girl, and she chats non-stop of whatever, and then you come to her flat and see Tolstoy you are completely bewildered, since it is not how she seemed when she chats.

If she lives with her parents, than it is more probable that the books are not hers.

I had a specific case in my mind when I wrote about the "Father" thing. I still do not know who of them actually read those books.

Not in my case. I get chatty easily and sometimes outright silly and at 24 find myself mistaken for a teenager more often than not (part of that is my size and baby face too) but I read. A lot. The only times I'm not talking are when I'm sleeping, reading, eating or typing.....I apparently am in love with my own voice.

Being Dead is a good book. .....And that tells me that you might be the sort of person who has either (a.) read it or (2.) that you may have not. Behold! The truth is revealed by your bookshelf!
