It almost seems like they HAVE to give Stephen King a nomination whenever he publishes a book, even if the book isn't horror (The Green Mile, Lisey's Story, the Dark Tower books). I'm guessing Under the Dome was released past the cut-off date for nominations?

I have Mr. X and Mine. Were they worthy of the Stoker nominations?

Mine is Stoker worthy. It's a great, tense read. Mr. X is on my tbr pile.

Some of those winners are real head scratchers.

Stoker award and noms for best Novel of 2010

Presented last nite:

A DARK MATTER by Peter Straub (winner)
HORNS by Joe Hill
ROT AND RUIN by Jonathan Maberry
DEAD LOVE by Linda Watanabe McFerrin
APOCALYPSE OF THE DEAD by Joe McKinney
DWELLER by Jeff Strand

Dweller sounds fun. Unfortunately it's a Leisure book and therefore out of print. Also, I love how half the list is comprised of zombie novels.

ETA: regarding earlier posts in this thread, I just want to say Mine was incredible.

Stoker Award and noms for Best Novel of 2011

Presented Mar 31st.

Flesh Eaters by Joe McKinney (winner)
A Matrix Of Angels - Christopher Conlon
Cosmic Forces - Greg Lamberson
Floating Staircase - Ronald Malfi
Not Fade Away - Gene O’Neill
The German - Lee Thomas

Sad to say I haven't read any of them. I'm only familiar with one author on the list as well. I need to read more horror.
