the fartest

how much does a man live, after all?

does he live a thousand dys, or one only?

for a week, or for several centuries?

how long does a man spend dying? what does it mean to say "for ever"?
----Pablo Neruda

This is a really nice thread. And I did have a lovely weekend. And I'm glad I was at the party but I only dance if I'm very, very drunk (and Irene, I was only dancing not snogging).

Of course you were only dancing. There wasn't a snog to be seen.

Irene who has a lot to answer for.

What a weekend!!! I went to this fabulous party. There was dancing and drinking, talking and hugs for all from the host, a sweetheart of a guy! I hope all my fellow party-goers had a nice weekend too.

hehe, hehe. Thank you all. your replies brought smiles to me on a busy stressful monday morning!!! lots of thanks!

yay, i have a chance to see what my another brother look like. :D

I went to Cambridge to see Oedipus the King performed in Classical Greek. Does that count as partygoing?

Whaddya mean 'No'?

Who ever came up with the idea that Greek tragedies make for a good time? :( Not my idea of a party, that's for sure!

Lots of screaming, crying, death threats, obnoxious people's pride leading them to a dreadful fall...sounds like any of the few parties I had the misfortune to attend.

Au contraire. When Agamemnon comes home and Clytemnestra is all crazed and murderous . . .what could be more fun? You don't get that on daytime TV.

Indeed. And, as I understand it, they were originally written for and performed at the annual wine festivals (Dionysia and Lenaia), so the party theme goes on.....
